 U nedjelju 13. novembra 2016. odrzana je redovna godisnja skupstina BH Centra Springvale, kojoj je prisustovalo oko 60 clanova kluba. Skupstinu je vodio dosadasnji potpredsjednik Emir Hasanovic. Kako je i ustaljeno u ovakvim prilikama, na dnevnom redu se nasao izvjestaj o radu i finasijskom poslovanju, izbor novog Odbora i razno.
Izvjestaj o radu BH Centra za 2015-16. godinu procitao je sekretar Mirvet Halilic. U svom obracanju Mirvet se jos jednom zahvalio svima onima koji su pomogli u prosloj godini, te istakao neke od uspjeha, kao sto je postavljanje djecijeg igralista (playground). Nazalost, kao i svake godine Odbor je imao poteskoca u radu, narocito u slabom odzivu clanstva i organizaciji utakmica.

Ovogodisnji nogometni turnir bh. timova u Australiji odrzao se u organizaciji BH Centra Springvale 1-2 oktobra 2016.
U petak vece 30. septembra izvuceni su parovi i odredjen raspored igranja utakmica.
Grupa A: Stari Most Brisbane, Bosna Adelaide, Djerzelez Melbourne, KUD Dandenong (2)
Grupa B: KUD Dandenong (1), Bosna Melbourne, Podrinje, BH Centar Springvale.

The round 13 clash with North Caulfield was a must win for Heatherton, who in the last four games collected just one point.
The overseas trip of Mirza Pedic (sweeper), Djiba Famara (goal keeper) and the departure of a few other players have had a huge impact on Heatherton’s defence. However, the return of Ali Sanad and a recent arrival of new players provided coach Goran Runje with more options.

We have achieved our goal!
After 22 rounds, recording 5 wins, 5 draws and 12 losses, Heatherton United finished the 2016 season in the tenth place, which means the club will remain in the current league and compete in the FFV State 2 South East next year.
Coach Goran Runje, in his third consecutive season at Heatherton, admits it was the most difficult year during his tenure.

Buoyed by a 1-0 win against Seaford in the previous week at home, Heatherton recorded its first win on the road in Round 8.
Historically, games between Doveton and Heatherton tend to produce plenty of action and rarely finish goalless.
