Our annual trophy night was held on Saturday 12 September at the club’s hall in Springvale.

It began with a brief but detailed “Soccer Academy” presentation by Huss Skenderovic and Semi Sivic.

Huss is a high performance coach with the ACS who has international coaching experience in the UAE and in India. Semi is Assistant Coach at NPL club Port Melbourne Sharks, and has been active at Melbourne Victory in various roles.

The presentation included a video overview on key areas of the program. Needless to say we are very fortunate in securing a “Soccer Academy” program of this calibre at our club.

Damir Zukanovic provided the music entertainment, while Enes Bajraktarevic officiated the evening as MC.

The folklore group “Mladi Biseri” made a lasting impression, particularly by the groups most youngest members. It was relayed to me that the group had only 3 weeks to rehearse their performance. Their efforts, as always were entertaining. Well done!

It was a pleasure to see beaming faces receive their trophies in recognition of their football efforts. Especially the younger age groups (Under 8’s & Under 11’s). Under 11’s coach, Amir Sehavdic, placed an emphasis on acknowledging “Team Work” a good trait to build on the future.

Sponsors were awarded in recognition of their support to the club, as were all the teams’ coaches and managers.

The event was well attended and ran smoothly. A thankyou is in order to the junior committee, parents and friends who helped staff and organise the event. As always a thankyou to all players, parents, family and friends attended in support of our kids and the club.

We have some enthusiastic parents and organisers with some great ideas for next season and hope to make the event even more successful next year.
